Chapora Fort is located in Bardez near from Mapusa city. It rises high above the river of Chapora River. The Chapora Fort is one of the prime attraction of Goa. This fort built by Portuguese in 1617. It is a pleasant place to wander that offers fantastic views north across the Chapora river to Pernem (Pedne), south over Vagator Beach and also far out the Arabian Sea in the West.
